Custom machines and special-purpose machinery

We design and build highly automated machines and specialised robots — mechanics, electronics and control under one roof — and install them across the world, engineered for robustness and years of uptime.

What we build

  • Single-unit and small-series machines and robots
  • Special-purpose machines built around one production task
  • Automated assembly and handling stations
  • Field hardware such as trailer-mounted camera columns
  • Frames, enclosures and structural parts made on our own line

Design and manufacturing under one roof

The machine is designed by the people who make its parts. Nothing waits for a subcontractor.

Design & simulation

SolidWorks and Autodesk Fusion for mechanics, FANUC RoboGuide for robot simulation — digital continuity from model to machine.

Sheet metal

TRUMPF TruMatic 1000 and TruBend 5170 with ToolMaster — frames, panels and housings with threads formed straight into the plate.

Machining

Mazak INTEGREX i-100H ST — nine controlled axes, complex parts in a single clamping.

Welding & robotics

IPG LightWELD XR on FANUC CRX cobots — low-distortion welded sub-assemblies.

SLS 3D printing

EOS FORMIGA P110 Velocis in PA12 — brackets and fittings without injection-mould tooling.

Proof from our own floor

When we redesigned the PhotoRobot FRAME V6 and CUBE COMPACT for automated in-house production, FRAME V6 assembly fell from 4 days with two workers to 2.5 days with one, and CUBE COMPACT from 2 days with two workers to 4 hours with one.

How a machine project runs

  1. 01

    Brief

You describe the task, the parts, the required output and the space available. We ask the questions that decide the concept.

  2. 02

    Concept & design

Mechanics, electronics and controls are designed together; robot paths are simulated before any metal is cut.

  3. 03

    Build & test

Parts are made on our own machines, then assembled and tested in Prague.

  4. 04

    Installation & service

We install on site and keep the machine running — the same team installs PhotoRobot systems across the world.

What helps us prepare an offer

  • A short description of the task and the parts to be handled
  • Required output or cycle time
  • Drawings, 3D models or photos of the parts
  • Available space, power and interfaces to existing equipment
  • Quantity — a single machine or a small series

Frequently asked questions

Do you build a single machine?

Yes. Single units and small series are our normal work — from one piece, immediately.

Who designs the machine?

Our own engineers. We design what we build — mechanics, electronics and controls — in SolidWorks, Autodesk Fusion and FANUC RoboGuide.

Do you install outside the Czech Republic?

Yes. The team behind prototype.builders designs PhotoRobot’s robots and installs them across the world.

Can you make only the parts for our own design?

Yes. Sheet-metal parts, machined parts, laser-welded assemblies and SLS parts are also available on their own.

Tell us what the machine should do.

A few sentences are enough to start. Drawings and photos help, but are not required.
